Scope and Contents
'Christ and his apostles: or the history of the four evangelists, St Matthew, St Marke, St Luke, St John at large, written and distinguished in such manner as they may with great facility be read and understood; together with the history of the actes of the apostles at large, harmonsied out of the epistles of them as touching the story, with an abridgement of the said harmony as touching the story only with the Revelation of St John at large, together with the abridgement of the prophecies and visions, digested and written by William Spencer, gent.' The text is written in a single column, and notes are added in the margin. The author seems to have been a Puritan. See also MS Dd.01.24.
