Scope and Contents

120 x 189 mm. The formal scene inside the Palais des Nations in Geneva as the conference on Rhodesia gets under way, chaired by Mr. Ivor Richards (centre of table on left), the United Kingdom’s Representative to the United Nations. Other participants are: Mr Ian Smith (centre of table on right), the Rhodesian leader, with his team; and the four nationalist delegations headed by Mr Robert Mugabe (centre of top, left table), leader of the Zimbabwe African National Union; Mr Joshua Nkomo (centre of top, right table), head of the Zimbabwe African People’s Union; Bishop Abel Muzorewa (bottom, left table), leader of the external wing of the African National Council; and the Rev. Ndabaningi Sithole (centre of bottom, right table), founder of the Zimbabwe African National Union.
