Entries for November, 1773-11-01 - 1773-11-30
Scope and Contents
The entry for 5 November records that the ship was greeted by several canoes near Cape Palliser, from which they procured supplies of fish and cloth [RGO 14/56: 95r]. They journeyed on past Cape Kidnappers, anchoring at Tolaga Bay on 9 November. The entries for 9-16 November are intermittent, and include descriptions of the bay and observations taken by Bayly. The entry for 10 November describes a thunderstorm and mountainous seas which made it impossible to leave the bay until 16 November. The ship then returned south and the final entry for November records its arrival at Ship Cove in Queen Charlotte Sound.
