Scope and Contents

Showing a troop of mounted pioneers in formation on cleared ground at Macloutsie Camp. The review, which took place in mid-June, was inspected by Major Gerneral the Hon. Paul Methuen, Adjutant-General of the Force in South Africa and later Governor of Natal, who pronounced the column properly prepared for the trek.
