Post and Telegraph Office, Salisbury, 1900
Scope and Contents
A view from the road looking towards the Post Office, a single storeyed, verandahed brick-building with a corrugated iron roof. The building stood at the corner of Second Street and Jameson Avenue and by 1903 had been replaced by a more substantial construction (although the old and new buildings stood side by side for some time: see photograph on p. 22 of 'Salisbury, The Capital of Rhodesia' by R. Warner, 1903). See also Y3052F/l6.
