Postcard (original photograph) showing the single storey brick Post and Telegraph Office erected in 1903. For a photograph of the original Salisbury Post Office see Y3052C/8. A photograph of the old and new buildings at the corner of Second Street and Jameson Avenue is reproduced in 'Salisbury, The Capital of Rhodesia' ( 1903) by Robert Warner, but the building seen here ( different from those) was situated (according to Rudland's note on the back of the card) in Manica Street. Postcard dated 19.12.14. Published by the Argus Printing and Publishing Co., Salisbury.
