Scope and Contents Letter from Christopher Peto, 27 January 1998, with an account of his wife Valida Joan Turner (Girton 1946-1949) being caught by the Proctors after visiting him in his digs in October 1948 without her gown. This was a new offence for women undergraduates as they had only just become members of the University.
