Most are written from Quarry Hill, Reigate. There is a double sequence 103-110 and two letters (105 [1] and 104 [2]) are loose in the file. The letters in 1902 concern specimen drawing technique (with examples) and preparation of slides. The following year the subject matter is health and family concerns, as well as paper giving (23 September 1903) and writing, and discussion of plant sections.
