She urges Bessie to read ‘Man’s power over himself to prevent or control insanity’ [John Barlow 1849], in particular p. 102 relating to the ‘superior proportionate size of women’s brains’. She is reading H[erbert] Spencer’s Psychology. She is unlikely to get to Tenby. She suggests Bessie ‘lecture about the Laws to the Halstead people’.
