Scope and Contents Letters written while teaching English at Dame Allan’s Girls’ School, Newcastle upon Tyne. The letters are addressed variously from Ambleside [the school was evacuated there during Word War II]; Carsphairn, Cheviot View, Ponteland; and 16 Brighton Grove, Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne.
