Girton College, Cambridge celebrated its Jubilee, that is to say fifty years since its foundation, in 1919, with a formal day of celebrations on July 26th and a day of informal hospitality on July 27th. Emily Davies was unable to attend but Louisa Lumsden, one of the 'Girton Pioneers' was present, as was Mr Sedley Taylor. Guests numbered between 800 and 900, including around 400 former students.
