Letters from Hurrion Rushmer to Hilda Gosling: File 5, 1920 - 1921
Scope and Contents
Includes a letter to Hurrion Rushmer from Norman, addressed from ?Westow Manor, Tettenhall Manor, Staffs, 30 December 1919, thanking him for his 'ordination letter' and 'advice from experience' and for his 'letter about Hilda'. Some of the letters to Hilda refer to her illness in the early part of 1920 [which is not recorded in her letters to her mother as she was either at home or in a nursing home at this time]. Most of the letters in this file date from January to March 1920. Thereafter the letters are much more sporadic, with four letters only between April and August 1920 and a final letter of 9 October 1921 wishing Hilda well on her marriage to John Gardner.
