Letter from B[arbara Leigh Smith] to Bessie Parkes, 1853
Scope and Contents
Barbara advises on the use of oils for landscape painting. She does not see why D[ante] G[abriel] R[ossetti] should not have a room at Mrs Elphick's. Her head is 'full of pictures' and she intends to work on her painting all summer. A[nna] M[ary] H[owitt] is 'charming and works very hard indeed'. She asks what Bessie thinks of Hunt's 'Conscience Awakened'.
