Barbara hopes Bessie will be coming to London soon. Barbara will visit Miss Garnett before long. Bessie has set Barbara a difficult writing task, which she is not sure she can fulfil. She rejoices that the ‘Austrian despotism is overthrown’. The letter is illustrated with pencil sketches.
