Scope and Contents
Bessie is still convalescing from scarlet fever. She had been unable to leave the house until the previous Wednesday and will not get to Paris until the end of April. She discusses the fate of the English Woman’s Journal and the possibility of its closure. She comments on Barbara being about to turn 37. She feels as if a chapter of her life has closed with the death of Adelaide [Procter]. Two pages.
