Bessie has been in Belgium for three weeks, including a week in Bruges. She would rather visit Barbara in Algeria in the warm spring months which she has not seen there. She would like to see Mary M[erryweather] get the ‘Liverpool work into order’. She feels that the English Woman’s Journal would prosper if Max [Hays] resigned and that Emily Davies’ editorship would more than ‘cover the deficiency’.
