Letter from Bessie Parkes to [Barbara Bodichon], addressed from 13 Richmond Avenue, Fairview, Dublin, 1862
Scope and Contents
Bessie says she ought to be writing for the English Woman’s Journal but is painting and reading the newspapers instead. She describes the sort of cases Mary [Merryweather] is dealing with at the Liverpool Infirmary. She wishes she could be in Sussex but had promised to go [to Ireland] and needs to ‘manage Liverpool & Ireland at one go’. [Letter incomplete.] [A partial transcript of this letter is included with GCPP Parkes 5/119.]
