Letter from Bessie Parkes to Barbara Bodichon, addressed from 17 Wimpole Street, 1861-05-02
Scope and Contents
Bessie discusses the May and June issues of the English Woman’s Journal. She has just got back from Essex and will set off for Leicester the next day. She continues to deal with administration relating to the exhibition of Barbara’s pictures: John Potter has bought ‘the Almond trees’. Adelaide [Procter] is still ill but [the office at] Langham Place is still flourishing. Bessie is almost too busy to write but she has done her best in relation to Barbara’s pictures.
