She is in correspondence with E[lizabeth] B[lackwell] and hopes to have some influence in her plans: she feels there has been financial mismanagement of E B’s women’s hospital plan. She informs Barbara of ongoing progress of the English Woman’s Journal. She is not feeling well off as she will not get money regularly until ‘after Xmas, when the estate is sold up’.
