Scope and Contents
Correspondence relating to Marjorie Tappan's registration for courses, reports, and paid work.
1) Two letters from Gregory Foster, Provost, UCL explaining why MTH cannot be registered for DSc, and suggesting she register for MSc (with 3 pages draft notes from MTH supporting her claim) November 1921.
2) Two letters from Gregory Foster to Marjorie Tappan about MSc course fees (special case made) December 1921 & March 1922, with letters concerning registration requirements etc (BA from Cornell will be sufficient) March - June 1922.
3) Registration card and statements of fees due & paid 1922-23.
4) Two letters from Frances Craggs, Registrar UCL, to MT requesting statement of year's work with copies of MT's replies 1922-23.
5) Correspondence between Sir William Beveridge, Director LSE, and MT about her appointment as part-time assistant to T E Gregory: 4 letters and associated documents 1921-23.

At the request of Marjorie Hollond's executor Section 2, 'Family papers and correspondence' is closed for 50 years from her death. These records will be opened on 1 January 2028.
