Medieval Circle. Correspondence re meeting dates, suggested topics of discussion etc, 1928-29; also HMC's British Museum reader slips, 1916 and 1922, found with same.
[The Medieval Circle was apparently an informal discussion group composed mainly of medievalists based in Cambridge: the file includes a list of members in HMC's handwriting. Correspondents include the following: 'O G F' (probably Olive Gower Farmer (Mrs Tomkeieff, Newnham College)); A B Steel, Christ's College; Z N Brooke, Gonville and Caius College; Miss H J Pybus, Newnham College; Mr L F Salzmann; Miss K Wood Legh; Dr G G Coulton; Mr Bernard Manning, Jesus College; Miss A M Cooke; C W Previte-Orton, St John's College; P H Winfield, St John's College, H S Bennett, Emmanuel College.]
