Scope and Contents
This file includes a press cutting concerning a 15 minute radio talk given by Margaret Anderson on the birds of Barbados. In a letter of 6 November M A talks of her sister Betty’s VAD exams and hospital work. A letter of 24 November mentions that ‘the Barbados Publicity Committee has - - - commissioned me to do them a road map of the Island, based on the original Admiralty Chart - - - hope to get most of the spadework done before Anita arrives’. A letter of 17 December includes a paragraph written by Anita. In her letter of 24 January 1936 M A says: ‘I have duly received my £50 for the Road Map!’. On 7 April 1936 M A writes ‘this is the last letter I shall be able to write to you from here!’ and outlines plans for her return to England.
