Complete [?] set of those copies of The Watchword which contain final published articles, as follows: Dec 1953 - Blessings. The First Blessing [the manuscript original on which this article was based was entitled The Earliest Memory of All];
Mar 1954 - Conrad Francis 6 Oct 1885 - 24 June 1888 [AT's younger brother who died of diptheria] and a Hymn for Good Friday (2 copies);
June 1954 - Ellen [the Tillyards' housemaid in the 1890s];
Dec 1954 - "Zelle" [Mlle Marthe, who taught AT and her brother Julius French];
Mar 1955 - "Other Dear" [AT's paternal grandmother];
June 1955 - "Dear" [AT's maternal grandmother]; Dec 1955 - A Wet Sunday at Fordfield (2 copies);
June 1956 - A Fine Summer's Day at Fordfield;
Sep 1956 - A Visit to Mrs Law;
Dec 1956 - The New Baby [Eustace, AT's younger brother];
Mar 1957 - Little Frida is Tempted;
June 1957 - Papa (2 copies);
Sep 1957 - The Storm (2 copies);
Dec 1957 - The Aunties (2 copies);
June 1958 - Mama. (A) Little Katie (2 copies);
Sep 1959 - Theodore and Amanda Meet Again.
[Published in The Watchword, the monthly paper of the Society of Watchers and Workers, these were mostly written about AT's early memories of home and her upbringing in Cambridge, about members of AT's family and about the Tillyard family's wider circle of acquaintances in Cambridge. All were written during her last years, which she spent at St John's Home in Oxford. The last was published in September 1959, just 3 months before she died. Biographical / Historical

The Society of Watchers and Workers was originally known as The Guild of Invalids. It was established in London on 6 August 1879 by 'a little company of friends from five dioceses'. Its objects were 'the recognition of sickness as a bond of Christian fellowship and an opportunity of work for God'.
