Flyleaf inscribed 'H D Megaw, Girton College; Very valuable to the owner. Please return if found; Book II December 1930'. Contains notes and X-ray photographs including work on phlogopite, calcite, lead / lead with arsenic (including reference to the work of [Peter] Kapitza) and Brucite. Indexed at back by name of mineral. The volume also contains some loose material, including news cuttings relating to J D Cockcroft and Ernest Walton and the splitting of the atom, 1932.
