1) 9 September 1905: photograph of a large family group taken at Milton House, Cambridge by Kidd & Baker of 2 St Mary’s Passage, Cambridge, showing several generations. No names given but Thomas William Dunn and his wife Elizabeth, née Cay [maternal grandparents of Elspeth Giles] are shown in the centre of the group; Peter Giles is in the back row and several of his children are probably also in the group, although a pencil note on the back of the mount reads ‘Absent Members of the family: C W Dunn, I. C. S. in Burma; Professor D Slater – Cardiff; Elspeth Giles, with Bucklands in Devonshire’;
2) September 1917: photograph by J Palmer Clarke of Cambridge of a family group at Emmanuel College Lodge, showing Isabel Giles, Peter Giles, Elspeth Giles, Alan Giles, E Mary Giles and Caterina Giles, having tea on the lawn;
3) 27 September 1921: photograph by J Palmer Clarke of Cambridge of a wedding, presumed to be that of Margaret Giles and O B Wallisch, including bride and groom, Peter Giles, E Mary Giles, Thomas William Dunn [and his wife Elizabeth? or possibly Peter Giles' mother?], and [?] the groom’s parents;
4) 1928: Photograph by Palmer Clarke, Cambridge, of Peter Giles, Elizabeth Mary Giles, their son Alan Giles, her father Thomas William Dunn and a small child (P A K Giles - son of Alan?);
5) 1933: head and shoulders portrait, full face, of a young woman, by Edwin Hadley of 9 Pelham Street, Nottingham; the mount is annotated ‘E W R Oakden Xmas 1933’ but the initials C.P.G. are also written on the back of the photograph itself, so possibly a portrait of Caterina Pietra Easton, née Giles?
