'Dragon's Blood', 1918 - 1994
Scope and Contents
A dinner dress worn by Elspeth Giles at Girton, together with a separate black lining / petticoat and an accompanying note from ‘AT’ [Caterina Pietra Easton, née Giles, younger sister of Elspeth Giles], 1994, which reads: ‘ ‘Dragon’s blood’ is what we always called the dress. It had been a ‘tea-gown’ of Mother’s covered in black lace - Elspeth cut it to suit herself when at Girton (we always changed for dinner there)’.
