Manuscript, annotated and paginated -- 102 pages plus two title pages and three further pages containing a dedication to the Earl of Beaconsfield, a quotation from John Skelton and an author's note. The first title page is for the two tragedies: Palace and Prison and Fair Geraldine, the second 'Palace and Prison. A Tragedy in Five Acts'. Also first revised proofs.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Originally in a brown paper wrapped bundle with Fair Geraldine and the proofs of both plays. Palace and Prison was placed first in the bundle.
