Personal Papers of Anne Wilson, 1948 - 1949
Scope and Contents
In 1948 Anne Wilson travelled to Greece with three other Girton Classics students, Margaret Bowen (Girton 1944-1948), Sheila Spire (Girton 1945-1949) and Rosalind Day (Girton 1942-1944 and 1947-1948. When they visited the Acropolis they were joined by Zita, a friend of another Girtonian who was not on the trip.
In 1949 Anne visited Italy and Sicily, again with fellow Girton classicists. On this occasion she travelled with Alison Evans [Girton 1946] and they met up in Rome with Veronica Tillyard [Girton 1941] and Sheila Spire [Girton 1945].
The items listed here, a photograph album and a diary, comprise a record of those trips (the diary covers only Italy and Sicily).
