St James’ Secretarial College / Spencer Munt Scholarship, 1938 - 1977
Scope and Contents
[In 1938 Mr Spencer Munt offered the Society a scholarship to cover free secretarial training at St James’ Secretarial College, Grosvenor Place, SW1 to a student between the ages of 17 and 25 (non-University), the Society to have the right to send up to three candidates for a trial week every January, and the final selection of the recipient of the scholarship to be made at the end of that week.]
The file contains correspondence concerning the establishment of the scholarship, 1938, and correspondence concerning individual holders of the scholarship, 1938-77 (giving chiefly names and addresses only, but also some brief reports and comments).
