'Women's Demonstration in London', 1971
Scope and Contents
36 black and white photographs, chiefly 12cm x 8cm, of a march held in London: banner slogans include ‘Women are People Too!’, ‘I troth my plight’, ‘Wife is a four letter word’, ‘Wedlock is Deadlock’, and ‘Hands off our Bodies’. There were many groups involved, including the Cambridge Women’s Liberation group. The specific route of the march is not evident, although one photograph shows Marble Arch underground station in the background.
