Postcards to Helen Cam, circa 1905-1953
Scope and Contents
File of approximately 140 postcards and greetings cards sent to Helen Cam at various addresses, showing churches, cathedrals and other places of historical interest, chiefly in the UK; also artworks, religious subjects and illuminated manuscripts. They were sent by many different correspondents and are largely of an ephemeral nature typical of postcard communication, although they do include some professional communication amongst the personal. A number of the earlier cards [circa 1905-1928] were sent by 'A.M.T.', who also signs one of the cards 'A. M. Trout' and another 'Troutlet' [perhaps a close friend?].
