Notes of history of and title to the advowson., 1630 - 1659
Scope and Contents
'The Advowson of Fulmerston Cum Croxton was once in the Hands of the Priory of Castleacre. After the dissolution the King gave it to the D. of Norff. After his attainder the King sold it to Dannock, from whom successively my father derived his right, but the Title is unquestionable good, for Sir Edward Coke putt in a caveat supposing it had been an advowson appendant to his mannour of Fulmerson, but I showed him how it was in grosse so he relinquisht his suit
