Scope and Contents

John Steven of Coton named as Thomas Hodilow's predecessor at the George and as former tenant of the lands in the west field. The rent is to be paid in corn and money.
Note of Drake's bond in £20 to perform covenants.
Annotated: 'This Drake had bonde of 200£ sealed by the Mr d. Norgate and fellows then beinge 9 yeres before the lease in esse was expired that we sholde (after the expiration) lett it to none without his expresse consent, and so likewise had his brother William Drake bonds of like condition for the manour of Barton'.
