Scope and Contents
The tenements lie between a lane leading to the church, N.., and a college tenement in the tenure of James Howell, S.,and abut E. partly on the tenement of Nicholas Dowsye and partly on a garden plot of the college demised, together with the White Hart, to Richard Gosnell, and W. on the highway.
Provision for the lesser tenement to be occupied by Joan Thorpe and Alice Baker, widow, at a rent of 12s. Howgrave is, by Michaelmas 1570, to build a new house or kitchen to replace the one now standing on the greater tenement, with specifications as to materials, etc.
