Scope and Contents

The property lies between a tenement of the said Henry, formerly of John Somery and a tenement formerly of Robert of Toft, taverner, and abuts at one head on the high street, where it is 43½ feet wide, and at the other head on (1) a messuage formerly of John Arnold and Robert atte Corner at a distance of 113 feet from the high street, (2) on a messuage of Peter le Mason, being there 48 feet in length, (3) on a messuage formerly of Robert of Toft, taverner, now in the tenure of Elenore daughter of William of Pocklington, being there 38 feet in length. The property was formely of Simon Bernard of Barnwell and came to the Prior and Convent by gift and enfeoffment of William Sterne of Haslingfield by royal licence in exchange for lands and tenement(s) in Haslingfield.
