'As to the other news you write me, I can tell you nothing positively; but only, That whosoever may be Bp of Carlile, no alteration is like to be in the mastership of Corp. Xti.' [Bradford was nominated to the see of Carlisle on 21 April 1718, translated to Rochester on 19 July 1723 in which year he was also appointed Dean of Westminster. He resigned the Mastership in 1724.
