Mr Sayer's debt to the college, 1577
Scope and Contents
These papers were bundled with those relating to Thomas Aldrich (CCCC02/M/17/1-35) and may relate to Norgate's attempts to sort out the college accounts in the wake of Aldrich's resignation.
In July 1581 Sayer sued Norgate in the Vice-Chancellor's Court for a debt of £10 plus Sayer's salary and the perquisites of the fellowship for one and three-quarter years (see University Archives, Collect.Admin.6a (Buckle Book) f. 152.
