Volumes recording absences during term time. The front of the book has a handwritten contents page that included the term dates and relevant page numbers that was updated until Easter term 1838. Until October term 1838 exiit and rediit records were recorded in tables drawn into the book that included name, rediit, exiiit, and observations columns. In the observations column, students who were absent more than once a term were noted with "vide infra" followed by a letter that would redirect a reader to the next time they were noted in the list as absent. The term name, year, term dates, weeks and days in term, and term division are written at the top of each page. The end of each term was signed off by the dean at the time Rev. J. Goodwin. The detail of the entries decreases after October term 1838, with the observation column, Dean signature, and date details not appearing.
