26 Jun 1888: resolved that the ward now called 'Alice Ward' be named for the future 'Alice Fisher Ward' in memory of the great services rendered to the hospital by Alice Fisher formerly Matron of whose death the court regret to hear'
1 Aug 1888: Letter from Thomas Wild MRCS Manchester complaining that a post mortem examination had been carried out on Susan Titchmarsh who died in Addenbrooke's Hospital without the patients or friends consent - Referred to surgeons (p42)
17 Oct 1888: Rev Hall reported the number of telephone wire on the chimney were making it unsafe, telephone company agreed to erect a pole instead.
2 Jan 1889: Letter from H Prior of Linton 'on what terms or rules does Mrs Wright of Linton have the benefits of the hospital for a bad let - as with the property she holds and the business she does - she is as competent to be a 2 guineas subscriber' Rev. Longe to investigate.
7 Mar 1889 Misappropriation of meat for beef tea resulting in dismissal of cook (pp185-187)
17 Apr 1889: Revised rules for porters (pp195-202, 206)
22 May 1889: The clerk of Newmarket Union agreed to pay 1s per week for 'pauper patient George White'
29 May 1889: The sum of 7/6 granted from Samaritan Fund to William Roberts
4 Sep 1889: Recommended that he wages of the Under Porter be increased to 2c a week to 12/6 per week in consideration of his having given up the use of beer.
4 Oct 1889: Income from Bazaar to be used as contribution to building a sick nurses ward (see also pp333-4)
13 Nov 1889 Proposed that Jane Bright a patient be removed to the Asylum. The relieving officer also be asked to remove Ethel Greenwood.
5 Mar 1890: The sum of 5s granted from the Samaritan fund to Elizabeth Day
8 Jun 1890: University Sermon preached by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
25 Jun 1890: Letter form Mary N Wilde seeking consent to the building of a Mortuary Chapel as a memorable to her brother - if agreed her father willing to sign the contract and pay costs.
