Most volumes contain an index to names and subjects, with the major exception of the period 1772-1837 (volumes 2-12). Early minutes are often headed "Dr Addenbrooke's Infirmary". From about 1780 to about 1815, the minutes often consist chiefly of numbers of patients admitted, numbers discharged, and numbers on the wards, with a male/female breakdown. Numbers of patients continue to be recorded in the minutes until 1888. Minutes for 1832 to 1869 give the names of visiting chaplains.
