2 Apr 1832: James Gee from Leicestershire (broken leg in accident), his mother asked for money for washing and fresh linen (later 9 May paid for out of Samaritan Fund)

3 Jul 1837 Ordered that the Secretary write a letter to Rev Mr Brown, tutor of Downing College to inform him that a bullet was fired from the premises of Prof Starkie in the College which came through two of the windows of one of the wards of the Hospital and scattered part of the glass about the face of one of the patients in that ward and by which great danger was occasioned which the governors hope will not be repeated – and also to inform Mr Brown that the damage to the windows amounts to 13/- which the Governors trust there will be no hesitation on the part of Downing College to pay.
Letter to Prof Stakie dated 10 Aug 1837 (p549) from Hospital Secretary expressing dismay that he has taken no notice whatsoever of Mr Brown’s communications to him on this subject.
