Biographical / Historical
Lambert Hotchkin was Receiver of Downing College Estates from 1822, and appointed Lord Steward in 1828. He held the position until 1860. According to a declaration he made in 1845 he in fact 'had the management of the Estates since the year 1812'. [See DCAR/1/1/08/052]
