Declaration by Prime Taylor of Tadlow, Labourer, Allen Flitton of Ashwell, Herts, Corn Merchant, and Elizabeth, wife of Richard Mead of Tadlow, Labourer: re cottage late of George Betts, now in occupation of Sarah Betts and contracted to be sold to Downing College; and also that they were informed by George Betts that the title deeds relating to the property were destroyed by the fire that occurred in Tadlow in 1864/5 and burnt down previous cottage.
