General
At the time of re-cataloguing the title deeds had been arranged and listed in one large chronological series, ignoring any original sub-series or order. An attempt was therefore made to reorder the deeds according to assumed sub-series - that is, listing all deeds together that related to the same piece of property and geographical area. After completion of this task a Chancery document giving a complete schedule of the deeds from 1558-1800 was found, in which the records had been arranged into 28 bundles. These bundles are similar to the recreated ones in the new catalogue, but do not correspond completely. See DCAR/1/1/07/01/028e for the schedule, which was compiled in 1814.
