DEED TO LEAD THE USES OF A FINE (and for docking and cutting of all intails). Property: messuage in Dunwich now in occupation of Samuel Moore; messuage in Dunwich now in occupation of Thomas Foster; messuage in Dunwich now in occupation of Thomas Harcock; messuage in Dunwich wherein William Witherby lately dwelt and also hempland and barn with piece of land adjoining, lying on north part of way leading to St James Street; messuage and shopps with appurtenances together with pightle of c. 1 acre; pieces of land in Dunwich of c. 4 acres, 1 1/2 acres and 1 1/2 acres, all in tenure of Mary Archer.
Endorsed ' A deed to declare the use of Mary Archer, Robert Danford and Eleanor his wive's fine to Mr Downing'.

With DCAR/1/1/01/02/11/012 - these are the surviving documents which would either have accompanied a fine, with the lease to vest possession being part of the accompanying conveyance; or the lease would have been part of a lease and release, which, with the deed to levy the uses, was drawn up to explain the purposes of a Common Recovery.
