BARGAIN AND SALE WITH FEOFFMENT of messuage or tenement with pightle, curtilage, garden and reed fenn, plus appurtenances, in p. All Saints, Dunwich, between pightle and reed fenn late Thomas Hempster's on part of east, pightle and reed fenn late Nicholas Chapman's on west, one head abutting upon kings highway to south, and other head abutting hospital lands of St James to north; and also one piece of land and marsh with appurtenances in Dunwich, of c. 1 acre, lying between said premises on east and meadows and marsh of said hospital on west, abutting upon Spittle Inch to north and kings highway to south.
Consideration: £40 to 1. and £40 to Bayliffs, Burgesses and Commonalty of Dunwich
[Recites indenture of feoffment of 1 May 1661, and that £60 of the purchase money of £100 belonged to Jeremy Nimans the Elder, deceased, father of said Matthew Nimans, and £40 residue belonged to Thomas Copping; and as Thomas Copping was indebted to the Bailiffs, Burgesses and Commonalty of Dunwich in the sum of £40, he did declare that they should receive the said £40 from his moiety of the said premises. Matthew Nimans, surviving Thomas Copping became solely seized of said premises, and of moiety in trust to the intent and purpose that £40 should be paid to corporation etc of Dunwich.]
