POST NUPTIAL MARRIAGE SETTLEMENT (LEASE AND RELEASE) of Manor or Lordship of East Hatley, Cambridge; all that capital messuage of said Manor previously in possession of Robert Castle Esq.; and also all the woods etc called Lordshipp Wood, Nobles Wood and Rigsbyes Wood, containing c. 38 acres; and all the closes called Home Close, Lay Close, Dovehouse Pightle, Phillipps or Burnt Pightle, Porters, and three others, all which closes contain together c. 49 acres, heretofore in possession of Richard Kennell, Clerke; and all that great close of ground of c. 100 acres, formerly in possession of Richard Condor; and also all that close of land abutting the parsonage containing c. 4 a. 1 r.; [etc]; and all those messuages, tenements, cottages, arable lands, meadows, pastures, woods, woodgrounds, commons, pasture, sheep walks etc whatsoever of the said Sir George Downing and George Downing the son in East Hatley; and all other freehold or charterhold Mannor, messuages, farms, lands etc of the said Robert Castle, purchased by Sir George Downing 21 Jan 12 Charles [1661/2], lying in East Hatley, St George Hatley, Gransden, Tadlowe and Pincott; plus all other lands in these places; all that Manor of Hobledods in Tadlow; all the Manor or Lordship of Clopton, Cambridge; and all other manors, messuages, lands and hereditaments etc of Sir George Downing or George Downing in Clopton and in Grandsen alias Croydon, Cambridge; also in the Manors of Momplers in Swafham Bolebeck, Hamonds alias Birds, Cambridge and all lands and premises in Swafham Bolebeck, Swafham Pryor, Bodisham [Bottisham] and Reach or elsewhere in county of Cambridge; also in the Manor of Shardelowes in Cowling, Suffolk; and in the Manor of Tunbridge alias Tunbridge Hall or Bottisham Hall, in Bottisham, Swafham Bulbeck, Little Wilbraham and Stowe cum Qui, in Cambridge; and in Wrestlingworth, Bedford; and in Gamlingay, Cambridge; and also annual rents issuing out of Manors of Bourne, Shingay, Gransden, Waterbeach and Denny, Ditton and Horningsey, Girton, Histon Andrew; plus overseeing of weights and measures in town of Cambridge and keeping assize of wyne, bread and beare; and all and singular other the freeholds, Manors, Lordships, messuages, farms, cottages, lands, meadows, pastures, demesne lands, marshes, woods, wastes, commons, tenements and hereditaments plus all rights, dues, rents and appurtenances, which Sir George Downing or any person in trust for him, is seized of, in the said counties of Cambridge, Bedford, Suffolk, Huntington and Norfolk;
