Biographical / Historical
This cause proceeded primarily under the abbreviated name of Timothy Stonehouse Vigor who, with George Cooke, was appointed executor of Sir George Bowyer in his will of Jan 1800. Sir George died in December of the same year before he had put in any answer to the supplemental bill of complaint filed in November. Thus upon his death the suit and proceedings as to him became abated. But as Vigor and Cooke possessed themselves of his personal estate the proceedings were revived against them. [It should also be noted that it was under this same cause 'Attorney General vs Vigor' that the College site was acquired and building work began and progressed and how money was obtained from the Building Fund.
