The series mostly consists of notebooks containing handwritten or typed reports by the Chief Examiner on the O Level marking, standardisation and awarding process.
The reports often contain sections entitled 'General Suitability of Question Paper’, ‘Particular Questions’, ‘Standard of Candidates’ Work’ and ‘Standards Fixing Meeting’. They sometimes contain provisional grade boundaries. Often there are also comments on the marking process and notes on the marking standards of individual examiners.
