Scope and Contents
Regulations, syllabuses, question papers, marking instructions, reports and other examination material produced by Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board (OCSEB).
This collection includes a small number of GCSE syllabuses and mark schemes. OCSEB never directly offered GCSE exams but was a part of the Midland Examining Group (MEG). MEG was one of five examining groups in England and Wales commissioned to offer GCSE qualifications.

Custodial History
This collection was originally catalogued in December 2011. Changes to its arrangement were made in 2021.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was transferred to Archives & Heritage in 1997, around the time of the formation of OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations). The records were formerly held at Purbeck House, which had been the headquarters of the Cambridge side of the exam board since the 1980s or 1990s.
